Who will this year’s 9th Muslim of the Month be? Will this month’s winner become Muslim of the Year?
Abu Abdillah Ismaeel – New York imam who blamed gays for AIDS, claimed reading philosophy causes homosexuality, described infidel women as “…immoral western women who pluck or shave or draw their eyebrows, or make their nails long (like wild beasts)…” and spewed sexist bile: “Islam made the husband the protector and maintainer of the wife and gave him the responsibility of heading the household, because he is more perfect in rational thinking than her in most cases.”
Hinda Osman Dhirane – Seattle Muslimah who was arrested as part of a funding network for terror group al-Shabaab. Dhirane also called the Boston Marathon bombing a “blessing,” and had spoken favorably of the 2013 Westgate mall jihad attack.
Naa Dakpema Dawuni Alhassan – Political leader in Ghana who claimed a bizarre rainstorm was the result of Allah’s anger at a local man who made 50 sex tapes with various women. Alhassan sentenced the man to death by public flogging, but the man got away. To appease Allah for the alleged sins the man and women committed, Alhassan ordered the women’s families to give livestock to the region’s imams.
Abu Mussab Wajdi Akkari – Lebanese-born scholar who believes that “saying Merry Christmas is worse than killing someone.” Akkari also said, “Muhammad smelled so good, they used to make [the] most beautiful perfume with his sweat.” He also claimed that women wearing perfume was “an invitation” for men to sexually harass them.
