Australian Muslim Dzafer Nuhic’s hobbies include douching, being a douchebag, and general douchebaggery. The wannabe bro posts all sorts of pictures of him and his Islamic friends trying to look tough, and even posts pictures of his gradually-becoming-less-scrawny-but-still-not-impressive arms at the gym. Watching Nuhic claim he’s ripped is like watching someone claim Islam is the religion of peace. On that note, Nuhic is quite adept at showcasing the true peacefulness of his religion. Recently, he found some counterjihad pages on Facebook and proceeded to have a meltdown, both on the pages’ walls and on his own.

As you can see, the wannabe tough guy doesn’t shy away from making threats. Of course, Nuhic would probably cower and run with his tail between his legs in the unfortunate event of an actual confrontation. As for different nationalities – it isn’t national origin that encourages people to try to molest children under the guise of marriage.

Now he’s just gone off the rails. Leave it to a Muslim to imply Jewish involvement in something Jews had nothing to do with. Also, I don’t think he understands that “you’s” (what he’s trying to say when he says “use”) is grammatically incorrect. Then again, when has a foamer ever had good grammar?

Is it a case of harassment and religious discrimination or a simple dress code violation?

On Friday, a local cab driver will learn whether he'll lose his job for wearing traditional Muslim attire while on the job.

Raja Naeem says he wears a kurta and shalwar out of his deep religious convictions. But that attire is apparently illegal for taxi cab drivers. In December of 2012, while on an airport run Naeem says he was arrested for what he was wearing.

"They handcuffed me in the back. I've never been handcuffed ever in my life. But, it's going to be okay," he said.

Naeem filed a complaint with Missouri's Human Rights Commission and a lawsuit, and ever since then, he says he's been hassled, arrested, ticketed 34 times, and most recently, the Commission revoked his license.

"What is at stake is more than his livelihood. What is at stake is the same thing that was at stake when Rosa Parks refused to get off the bus," said his attorney, Drew Baebler.

His attorney went to court and got a temporary stay, meaning Naeed could work as long as he showed proper ID when asked.

Here is what happened when he went to pick up a customer two weeks ago at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. He was not wearing the required white shirt and black pants. He was in his kurta.

Naeed: "I need to pick up my customer."

Security: "You are not picking up any customers out of uniform and I highly recommend you leave before the police department shows up."

Naeed: "So you are calling police on me?"

Security: "Yes, you've been trespassed on airport property out of uniform."

Naeed: "I'm trespassing?"

Security: "When you are out of uniform you are trespassing."

The director of the Taxicab Commission couldn't talk to NewsChannel 5 because of the suit. But according to one document Director Ronald Klein wrote, "We understand that all followers of Allah follow the Prophet Mohammed, however, we need to know who your local leader is—otherwise we will rely solely upon our own expert as to whether you are compelled by your religious to deviate from the dress code as described in the Vehicle for Hire Code."

One year ago the Commission granted Naeed a religious waiver, saying he could wear the kurta, as long as it lands above his knees and as long as he wears black slacks. That's a problem since kurtas typically land below the knees and Naeed says it is offensive and inappropriate to mix and match.

All Naeed says he wants to do is earn a living and support his family. He also points out, he is a U.S. citizen and knows his constitutional rights.

NewsChannel 5 will be at the hearing Friday and will let you know if the judge agrees with the commission and revokes his license.

MUSLIM MAN ARRESTED FOR STABBING WIFE TO DEATH(NORTH CAROLINA)

A man faces a first-degree murder charge after he allegedly stabbed his wife to death at their Rocky Mount home over the weekend, police said Monday.

Jihad Hamdan, 26, surrendered to authorities Saturday night after police were called to a condominium at 244 Pintail Lane, where they found Alia Harvi Odeh, 23, stabbed.

Investigators said the couple was married but "apart" at the time of the stabbing. They have not released a motive for the crime.

One of Odeh's last Facebook posts in January asked friends: "If I died tomorrow, what is the one thing you would always remember about me?"

Her husband's response: "Your beautiful heart. I love you always and forever, you're my first love and my everything."

"TO PREVENT A DISTURBANCE OF THE PEACE"POLICE ARREST TEN GAYS AND LESBIANS FOR HOLDING A PARTY(JORDAN)

Jordanian authorities have arrested 10 “gays and lesbians” for holding a get-together at a party hall in east Amman, a security official said on Thursday.

“The administrative governor of the Marka area, Adnan Qatarneh, ordered the arrest of the 10 gays and lesbians after they held a reception at a party hall on Wednesday to get to know each other,” he told AFP.

“The arrests were made to prevent a disturbance of the peace,” he added, without elaborating.

Homosexuality is not illegal in the conservative desert kingdom, although it is widely seen to be unacceptable.

“There are no laws in Jordan to deal with homosexuality cases,” another security official said.

“It is up to administrative governors to decide how to handle such issues, including any period of detention.”

In its latest human rights report on Jordan, the U.S. State Department said gays face discrimination there.

“Legal and societal discrimination and harassment remained a problem for women, religious minorities, religious converts, and members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community,” the report said.

(Note: This Muslim’s last name is not pronounced “rage.” However, it is quite fitting.)

Somali Muslim Ali Mohamed Rage, also known as Sheikh Ali Dhere, is the head spokesman of al-Qaeda-linked jihadist group al-Shabaab. He is also a member of the group’s Shura Council, which discusses matters of sharia and organizational governance. Rage frequently gives press conferences on all sorts of delightful subjects, always involving the murder of innocent people. He has referred to fallen jihadis as “martyrs,” and frequently praises his virgin-gathering colleagues on jihadist forums.

In 2011, al-Shabaab used Rage to take credit for a car bombing that killed eight. He was also at the scene of the public execution (likely by beheading) of a captured soldier from Burundi. Some months passed, then Rage issued the following statement regarding al-Shabaab: “We are welcoming the naming of Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri [as leader of al Qaeda.] We are going to work with him like we used to work with sheikh Osama [bin Laden.] We will be fulfilling the promise and the agreements with the former leader which means supporting the new leader.” Rage was also the intermediary used by al-Shabaab to reject government attempts at peace talks. al-Shabaab, like Islam, has a history of being unwilling to compromise.

“We wish to inform the Muslim people that the campaign against infidels will be back-to-back and by God’s grace will increase day by day and will increase in the coming hours. I will give a good tiding to the infidels: You will face big and broad blows.” Rage relayed that message to the media in October 2011. Big and broad blows against the infidels… definitely sounds like a religion of peace right there. The context of that statement further proves how kind Islam is – during that message, Rage claimed credit for a suicide bombing in Mogadishu, the capitol of Somalia.

Through 2013, Rage made several more press releases for al-Shabaab. The subjects of the releases varied from suicide bombings to condemnations of the Human Rights Watch. However, it was 2014 that showed how truly vile of a human being Rage is. In a press release sent to al-Jazeera, Rage dismissed the idea of negotiations and stated that al-Shabaab would continue its quest to slaughter infidels: “The people we are fighting with is because of ideology. They want to colonize us. They want to erase our religion, our people and our land. Those people bring a new face every time. Every new person that comes into office works for them. So for that reason, they are no different to us. Whomever the Christians bring, no matter their name or background, we will not negotiate with them because they have no decision-making powers. They have no powers to refuse or accept anything. What you lose by force you return by force. We will not negotiate with anyone. The country is ours.”

By now, it’s apparent that the only peace al-Shabaab wants is the kind where everyone else is dead. Led by jihadist sheikhs like Rage and Hassan Dahir Aweys, the group recruits young Muslims through its leaders’ and members’ extensive study of the Qur’an and Hadiths. What do they fill the young Muslims’ minds with? Even worse garbage than the seventh-century child porn that’s already in there. Rage stated: “Anyone who works for the apostate government, no matter where and at what level, they are supporting the apostates and the Christians who sent them. Our stand is clear is on such people. We will fight them and kill them anywhere we see them. Anyone who supports the Christians, either through the pen or by carrying a weapon, they are the same to us and we will kill them… We only attack a place when we are sure the people in there are the apostates, the Christians and those that support them.” How’s that for interfaith tolerance? Makes your left-wing neighbor look like an idiot for slapping that “Coexist” bumper sticker on her car, that’s for sure…

Aside from all the talk of killing infidels, Rage has also condemned Somalia’s education system. He claims that it is harmful because children are taught music, which is viewed by many Muslims as being haram (forbidden.)

The Muslim leadership in Malawi has condemned the growing tendency by politicians in engaging their faithful to entertain people through singing and dancing at political rallies.

Leaders of different Islamic groups have expressed some reservations over the development and have since criticized politicians for making Muslim women to dance at their political rallies.

On Sunday February 24 2014 representatives from over 20 Muslim groups were on a sensitization mission to Muslim women in Blantyre where Sheikh Muhamed Uthman of the Mufti of Malawi observed that the practice of taking Muslim women to political rallies in their Hijab (Muslim women attire) is undermining the integrity of the Islamic faith.

The Sheik however pointed out that the development should not be interpreted as barring Muslim women from attending political rallies or associating with others. He explained that what is out of order is the act of dancing while in an Islamic attire at a political rally since it demeans the religion.

The Muslim leaders wondered why it is only the Muslim Women who are exposed to such a practice when their Christian counterparts who have several Women Groups and Guilds are not paraded or seen going to sing or dance at political rallies.

The leaders, who expressed hope that the tendency might change after conducting more sensitization meetings, questioned the sanity of replacing the name of God with that of a politician, and why the Muslim faithful has forgotten that it is not in order in the Islamic faith, a woman to stand before men and dance.

"SENSITIVE WEAPON COULD FALL INTO HANDS OF EXTREMISTS AND TERRORISTS" AND ENDANGER SECURITY IN THE MIDDLE EAST RUSSIA WARNS SAUDI ARABIA NOT TO SUPPLY SYRIAN JIHADIS WITH MISSILE LAUNCHERS

Russia on Tuesday warned Saudi Arabia against supplying Syrian rebels with shoulder-launched missile launchers, saying such a move would endanger security across the Middle East and beyond.

The Russian foreign ministry said in a statement that it was “deeply concerned” by news reports that Saudi Arabia was planning to buy Pakistani-made shoulder-launched surface-to-air missiles and anti-tank systems for armed Syrian rebels based in Jordan.

It said that the aim was to alter the balance of power in a planned spring offensive by rebels on the regime of President Bashar Al Assad.

“If this sensitive weapon falls into the hands of extremists and terrorists who have flooded Syria, there is a great probability that in the end it will be used far from the borders of this Middle Eastern country,” the foreign ministry said.

Long-existing tensions between Russia and Saudi Arabia have intensified further as a result of the Syria conflict, with Moscow standing by Al Assad but Riyadh offering open support for the rebels.

Russia is widely seen as Al Assad’s last remaining major ally in a conflict that has left an estimated 140,000 people dead since it began as a peaceful uprising in March 2011.

IRANIAN JOURNALIST CRITICAL OF AUTHORITIES BEATEN AND ARRESTED BY INTEL AGENTS FOR PROTESTING AGAINST RESTRICTIONS IMPOSED ON HIM AND HIS FAMILY

Members of Iran’s intelligence services have beaten up and temporarily detained a prominent journalist and film-maker critical of the authorities’ treatment of the opposition.

Mohammad Nurizad, 61, was protesting in front of the Iranian intelligence ministry in Tehran on Monday when a group of its agents attacked him, and took him to Evin prison without a valid warrant for his arrest. He was later released.

“They pushed me on the ground as they put their knees on my back, my head hit the asphalt and blood gushed out from my eyebrows,” he told the Guardian by phone from Tehran. “They didn’t have a valid arrest warrant so I refused to get in their car voluntarily. They handcuffed me and forced me into the vehicle.”

Every morning for the past 43 days, Nurizad has gone in front of the ministry’s building wearing a white shirt and carrying a white flag with his demands written on it. “The authorities have confiscated my personal computer and belongings and have so far refused to release them,” he said. “They have also imposed a travel ban on me and my family, barring us from leaving the country. I simply want these restrictions to be lifted.”

“I’m banned from working but nothing has been mentioned in my sentence. Some political prisoners in Iran are banned from working, but at least it’s mentioned in their sentence. But for me, nothing is mentioned. No one dares to publish my work.”

Despite this, Nurizad said he has nothing to regret. “I realised I couldn’t continue with that ignorance I had some years ago,” he said. “I couldn’t deceive myself anymore. I wanted to get rid of the mask I was wearing.”

Whenever an artist creates anything offensive about Christians, they normally just whine a bit and move on. Muslims, however, are a bit less tolerant of artistic expression. Such is the case of Bradford, UK Muslim (no surprise there) Shazad Iqbal. Despite having “IQ” in his last name, Iqbal’s IQ is clearly quite stunted, as he believes a seventh-century child-porn fairytale to be of divine authorship. What piece of “art” got Iqbal all worked up? The intentionally-cheesy music video for Katy Perry’s newest single, “Dark Horse,” in which a man wearing a necklace of the name of Allah gets turned to sand. Surprisingly, most Muslims aren’t criticizing the video due to the belief held by some scholars that music is haram (forbidden) in Islam.

Iqbal started a petition on change.org to have the video removed from YouTube. It went viral among the Islamic world, since as we all know, Muslims cannot handle or tolerate criticism. Iqbal’s sentiment behind the petition was as follows: “This is the reason for lodging the petition so that people from different walks of life, different religions and from different parts of the world, agree that the video promotes blasphemy, using the name of God in an irrelevant and distasteful manner would be considered inappropriate by any religion. We hope that the video itself depicting such images is removed. Such acts are not condoned nor tolerated, we hope YouTube will remove the video.” Blasphemy against Christianity is frequently seen in music videos, and most Christians don’t make a huge fuss asking for the videos to be taken off the internet. However, with Muslims, anything that offends their seventh-century sensibilities is seen as a grievous offense, and of course, the only way they can think to not un-bunch their panties is to kill or destroy whatever is bothering them.

After the petition had reached 40,000 signatures, Iqbal commented, “I’d firstly like to thank everybody for the support and signing the petition. I would also like to say in making this petition my intention is not to cause controversy or to cause hate but rather to gain support in having the video removed.” You don’t want to cause hate? Then let artists do their thing without telling them what they can and can’t say. Followers of other religions have learned to not be crybabies about art in our free western society; why are Muslims so far behind the times?!

Iqbal’s petition garnered over 50,000 signatures within the first two days of its existence, and it momentum is still going. He took down all his pictures off of Facebook and his other social media profiles, likely for fear of being put up on a site like this. Well, there’s this little thing called an internet cache, and it’s working in my favor.

Anyway, go watch “Dark Horse” just to piss off the Muslims. It’ll probably be the next Innocence of Muslims that will be blamed for the next Islamic terror attack. Speaking of which, take a look at these comments from Iqbal’s petition. Such tolerance, and that totally wasn’t a bomb threat…

The Justice Department has enough incriminating evidence to file terrorism charges against the Council on American-Islamic Relations and its founders but has chosen not to indict the Washington-based group and its leaders at this time, a veteran FBI agent reveals in a shocking new book.

“There is enough evidence to indict CAIR, but the government chose not to do so at this time,” said former FBI official John Guandolo, author of “Raising a Jihadi Generation: Understanding the Muslim Brotherhood Movement in America.”

He suggests the government balked at throwing the book at CAIR for political reasons.

CAIR has cultivated a number of political supporters, mainly among leading Democrats in Washington – including senior White House officials. Secret Service entry logs show CAIR officials have visited the White House several times during the Obama administration.

Despite its designation as an unindicted terrorist co-conspirator in 2007, the Muslim pressure group in recent years has successfully lobbied for changes in federal policies dealing with the war on terror. For example, CAIR took credit for helping persuade Attorney General Eric Holder to prohibit religious profiling in terror cases, a decision his department is expected to announce formally soon. It also played a key role in the Pentagon’s recent decision to change long-standing uniform rules to allow military personnel to wear Islamic beards and head coverings.

Moreover, a controversial new rule issued earlier this month by the departments of State and Homeland Security to relax U.S. immigration for Palestinian and other foreign “refugees” who have provided “limited” material support to terrorists also dovetails with CAIR lobbying.

Under the Bush administration, the Justice Department implicated CAIR in a criminal conspiracy to raise money for Hamas, a U.S.-designated terrorist group.

Moments after his lawyer secured an extension in his criminal case in court Tuesday, Florida pastor Terry Jones told reporters outside the courtroom he has every intention of returning to Polk County this September to burn Qurans, the Muslim holy book, in remembrance of Americans who died in terrorist attacks.

“We plan to return to Polk County for our next Sept. 11 event to complete what we started,” said Jones, the controversial Bradenton minister whose protests against Muslims have attracted international attention.

Dogs are viewed as nejis (ritually unclean) in Islam. When two dogs, one of which was a service animal, vociferously greeted Idaho Muslim police officer Tarek Hassani when he was responding to a call, the result was deadly.

The dogs did not seem to be attacking Hassani; rather, they just jumped around him like excited pets. They barked, but weren’t particularly imposing. Hassani kicked one (he will need to perform ritual ablutions to cleanse himself after having touched the animal), then pulled out his gun and shot the service dog, a yellow lab named Hooch. Hooch immediately went from barking to a deathly whimper, and crawled several feet to his death. The dogs’ owner came out upon hearing the commotion, and Hassani responded: “I am sorry I shot your dog. I love dogs, but I am not going to be bit again. Like I said, sir, last time I ended up in the E.R.” I highly doubt a trained service animal would ever send someone to the E.R.; service animals are trained not to be aggressive before being given to their new owners.

Hassani’s conduct is under review. The video of the shooting, seen below, has gone viral. Local residents demanded Hassani be fired for his actions.

MUSLIMS FILE POLICE COMPLAINT DEMANDING BAN ON BOOK EXPOSING HOW THEY USE IDEOLOGY OF MULTICULTURALISM TO INFILTRATE SCHOOLS AND RECRUIT CONVERTS AS JIHADI FIGHTERS(CZECH REPUBLIC)

Muslims in the Czech Republic are trying to have the book Islam and Islamism by Lukáš Lhoťan, a former Muslim, now an apostate from Islam, banned, weekly Týden writes today.

Islam and Islamism, released in 2011, describes Czech Muslims' extremism, but representatives of the mosques in Prague and Brno say the book promotes hatred, Týden writes.

The book says Muslims abuse the ideology of multiculturalism to infiltrate Czech schools, and they do not only deliver innocent lectures there but recruit converts and perhaps new jihad fighters.

After spending 12 years among Muslims in Brno, Lhoťan abandoned Islam, Týden writes. Now he has published the documents from the Brno mosque both in his book and on his webpage, it adds.

This is not quite legal, as he had stolen some of the documents, Týden writes.

Vladimír Sáňka, director of the Prague-based Islamic Centre, has filed a criminal complaint against Lhoťan over his promotion of hatred.

"He is a hyperactive idiot, but also an unhappy man. He makes his living from doing harm," Muneeb Hassan Alrawi, head of the Muslim community in Brno, is quoted as saying. Alrawi knows Lhoťan personally, Týden writes.

"The police investigation will only provide publicity to him. He desires nothing but this," Alrawi added.

POLICE FREE 3 FEMALE STUDENTS FROM ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY,LOCKED UP BY ADMINISTRATION FOR 18 HOURS WITH NO FOOD AND WATER AS A PUNISHMENT FOR RAISING CONCERNS OVER CORRUPTION AND LACK OF FACILITIES(PAKISTAN)

Three female students of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) made it to the television headlines on Saturday as a court bailiff recovered them from the university hostel where they were allegedly confined by the administration.

The university administration however denied the charges strongly, arguing the students were expelled from hostel through disciplinary action, but they opted to lock themselves up in hostel rooms and create the mess through electronic media coverage.

Neelum Jehan, Romana and Hiba were allegedly confined by the hostel administration Friday evening with no food and water, and the bailiff recovered them after more than 18 hours of confinement.

Taking notice of the media reports, district and sessions judge Raja Jawad Abbas appointed a court official as bailiff to recover the girls. The bailiff recovered them and produced the girls and a hostel warden before the judge. Later, the judge directed release of hostel warden Shaista, and announced that the girls have the right to take legal action against the administration.

Talking to The Nation, Sher Afzal, counsel for the girls, informed that three girls, including PhD student Neelam Jahan, were locked up in the hostel room as punishment for raising their voice against alleged corruption in hostel mess, lack of facilities and other additional charges by the university administration.

Sher Afzal said these students had been studying in the University since 2007 and there was no complain against them. “Now the administration has just victimised them for raising their voice against the alleged corruption of the administration in hostel mess.” The counsel said that decision of university administration to expel these students was against the principles of justice.

Later in the evening, one of the girls, Neelum Jehan, submitted an application with Sabzi Mandi Police Station against the university officials, including Director General (DG) Gulzar Khawaja, Security Incharge Colonel (r) Amjad Zaman, hostel warden and a security guard. She alleged in her application that university administration tried to kidnap her and detained her in a room for more than 18 hours.

Abdeslam Laarusi, a Moroccan-born imam at the Badr Masjid in Terrassa, Spain, does not belong in the 21st century. The primitive fails to comprehend the concept of women’s rights – he thinks that, because a 7th-century book of child porn advocates wife-beating, that it’s OK. Laarusi was so steadfast in his belief that he told his congregation all about it – then he instructed them how to do the same.

Laarusi told his followers to use “fists and sticks on various parts of the body to avoid breaking bones or drawing blood.” Normally, evidence of abuse against Muslimahs is concealed underneath the traditional Islamic ninja costume they wear. However, sometimes the abuse comes to light when they visit the doctor, so Laarusi wanted to ensure none of his followers got in trouble with the law for behaving like the seventh-century savages they are. Police who investigated Laarusi’s mosque also discovered he had told his congregation how to isolate and shame their wives in their own homes, and when to avoid having sex with them. Despite all the evidence against the lie that Islam respects women, leftists and Muslims still claim that us counterjihadists are wrong. Look at Laarusi’s statement, then tell me that he, an educated scholar and cleric of Islam, respects women.

Laarusi is married with five children. His wife did not discuss with police the extent to which she had been abused.

Former inspector-general of police, Tun Haniff Omar today expressed fear that the action of non-Muslims questioning the decisions of the National Fatwa Council could cause disunity among the country's multireligious society.

He said this (non-Muslims questioning the edicts made for Muslims) had never happened before, and warned that if this continued, it could hamper the effort of making Malaysia a developed country (by 2020).

The UN refugee agency on Friday urged countries outside the Middle East to open their doors to 100,000 Syrians who need to find a haven outside their conflict-hit region.

The call from the United Nations high commissioner for refugees follows an earlier appeal to developed countries to grant a new home to 30,000 of the most vulnerable Syrians driven from their country.

With no sign of an end to the brutal three-year conflict between the regime of Bashar al-Assad and rebel forces, tens of thousands more will need help in the near future, it said.

"UNHCR anticipates that in the coming years, there will be increasing numbers of vulnerable Syrian refugees who will be in need of resettlement, relocation, or other forms of humanitarian admission," said spokesman Dan McNorton.

"We appeal to the international community to continue providing longer-term solutions for Syrian refugees who are most urgently in need," he told reporters.

The agency said it aimed to find a haven for the 100,000 new refugees during 2015 and 2016.

But it is still working to place the initial 30,000 before the end of this year.

Twenty countries have so offered more than 18,800 slots for resettlement or a long-term temporary permit.

Germany has done the most to shoulder the load, agreeing to take in 10,000 on a federal programme and 1,500 under schemes in individual states.

Canada has pledged 1,300, Sweden 1,200, Norway 1,000, and countries including Australia, Austria, Finland and France have agreed to take in 500 each.

UNHCR said it was likely to reach the total of 30,000 thanks to an open-ended number of slots proposed by the United States, already the world's top destination for refugee resettlement.

63 YEAR OLD MUSLIM MAN BRUTALLY RAPES 13 YEAR OLD GIRL(INDIA)

A 13-year-old Muslim girl who is studying in Std VII in Thoubal district was brutally raped by a 63-year-old retired government employee who is her neighbour.

Talking to reporters on Friday, the activists of the All Manipur Students' Union, Thoubal district branch, said that it was a rape most foul. They are seeking cooperation from the people in smoking out the accused rapist who is absconding.

The student activists said that on February 18 the girl had gone out of her bedroom at 11 p.m. to relieve herself in the open. It transpires that the accused happened to see the girl who had thus gone out and he reportedly sneaked into her room. When the unsuspecting girl entered her room, the accused, Mohammad Mubi allegedly grappled with her, gagged and dragged her to the bed. After raping her, he fled.

The AMSU activists said that they took a serious view of the crime committed on the minor. They have registered an FIR with the local police station. They hinted that if the culprit is not accounted for, they may launch agitations.

Syria's parliament speaker has slammed the United States for backing terrorist efforts in his country both directly and indirectly.

Speaker of the People’s Assembly of Syria, Mohammad Jihad al-Laham, said during the 9th session of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC) conference in Tehran on Wednesday that Syria is facing a destructive war led by the United States and some of its allies.

Laham also complained that some OIC member countries were involved in tireless efforts to violate Syria’s sovereignty through “the ugliest forms of intervention” in its internal affairs, adding that the Syrian delegation to the Tehran conference had tried to inform the representatives of other Islamic countries about what is actually happening in Syria.“We have pledged in this union, through several resolutions, to spread the tolerant values and teachings of Islam which are based on tolerance, but today we see Islamic countries spending millions of dollars for Muslims to kill each other and they are funding extremist religious channels working to ignite seditions and hatred among the Islamic doctrines and issuing fatwas of Jihad and Takfir against Syria,” Laham stated.

He added that the interference of such countries did not stop at the political level but turned into direct and indirect military intervention through supplying the armed groups and the Takfiri terrorists with money and weapons.

The top Syrian lawmaker also emphasized that the US-led bid against his country included facilitating the infiltration of terrorists from over 80 Arab and foreign countries into Syria.

Laham reiterated that the future of Syria will be made by the Syrians themselves through “comprehensive national dialogue and election boxes, not through weapons and terrorism nor through Western or Arab custody.”

Nottingham's skyline will feature a minaret for the first time with the opening of a new mosque that its founders say will “help create a multicultural society”.

And the committee behind the project says it may apply for planning permission to issue a call to prayer in the afternoons at a later date.

The 14.5-metre-high minaret is currently in the car park of the new Jamia Masjid Sultania mosque being built in Sneinton Dale and was due to be lifted into place on Friday.

But a poor weather forecast means the contractors have now put the installation back until Tuesday next week.

Imam Maulana Mohammad Aslam Rabbani, who will lead worship at the mosque, said: “I’m proud to see such a minaret as a symbol of Islam. We are so pleased to have this particular mosque at the centre of Sneinton.

“It creates a multicultural society so we are all living happily together. It’s very important because unity is strength.

“If we are divided and creating problems for each other, we cannot have peace in life and live together in harmony.”

The mosque is being built on the site of the former Jester pub, on the corner of Sneinton Dale and Trent Road.

The Mujahideen of Bulgaristan are a Bulgarian/Russian jihadist group with a real hatred of Elton John. In the 14 months since 23 Division’s Somali Liaison Unit (SLU) was first initiated, the six-officer unit has taken giant strides towards achieving its goal of enhancing police relations with Etobicoke’s Somali community.

“The Somali community outreach project strives to achieve meaningful dialogue and build trusting relationships with Toronto’s Somali-Canadian community through the provision of highly visible, proven and community-supportive policing services. And really, in a nutshell, that says it all,” said Baptist, who served as second-in-command at 23 Division until January, when he was promoted to Superintendent at 13 Division.

One of the current priorities of the SLU is bridging the language divide between its officers and the community it serves – and in order to so, all six SLU officers recently began taking Somali language classes.

SLU Sgt. Chris Laush greeted those listening in on Tuesday night’s town hall with a traditional “As-Salaam-Alaikum.”

“That was one of the first greetings I learned when I joined the unit, and essentially it’s a greeting that we use quite a bit in breaking the barrier when we talk to the community at Dixon Road. Since then, we’ve gone one step further,” he said, referring to the unit’s weekly Somali lessons at 23 Division.

“Now, we have a whole list of greetings to say, from ‘welcome’ to ‘hello, how are you?’ and ‘good morning’ and ‘good afternoon,’ and last Thursday we learned the Somali alphabet, which was very interesting to say the least. We’ve got a lot of work cut out for us, but we have a great instructor and we’re looking forward to our classes.”

In terms of outreach to Somali youth, Const. Raman Sandhu said she and her fellow SLU officers have initiated a whole host of activities to engage young people in the communities of Dixon Road, Queen’s Plate Drive and Islington Avenue.

Every day of the week, in fact, there’s a different program bringing Somali youth face-to-face with SLU officers – Monday evening basketball sessions at Dixon Grove JMS; Tuesday night boy’s basketball and girls net ball at Queen’s Plate; Cool Tool School sessions on Wednesdays (at 390 Dixon Rd.) and Thursdays (at Queen’s Plate); mosque visits on Fridays; basketball games with the Somali Youth Association of Toronto (SOYAT) team on Saturdays; and soccer on Sundays at Dixon Grove JMS.

And based on the success and rave reviews from a group of kids the SLU took on a bus trip to a Toronto Argos game late last year, the unit is now also planning on a few upcoming trips to the new Ripley’s Aquarium, a Toronto Raptors basketball game, and a Toronto Rock lacrosse game.

In terms of recruitment, Sandhu said the SLU is also working on getting a youth police academy up and running as a means of encouraging Somali youth to consider a career with the Toronto Police Service.

LIBYA TO PAY COMPENSATION TO WOMEN RAPED DURING THE SO CALLED "ARAB SPRING" UPRISING

Libya will offer compensation to women raped during the 2011 NATO-backed uprising which toppled Muammar Gaddafi, its justice minister said on Wednesday, touching a taboo subject.

Hundreds of women may have been raped during the eight-month conflict, according to the International Criminal Court, which has collected evidence that pro-Gaddafi forces used rape as a weapon to spread fear among its opponents.

No exact figures for the number of women raped are available.

Human rights activists have pushed for compensation, but rape victims are often ostracized in the conservative Muslim country where discussion of the crime remains taboo, so it is not clear how many victims would actually come forward.

Justice Minister Salah al-Marghani said the cabinet had issued a law that would recognize women raped during the conflict as war victims, putting them on the same level as wounded former rebel fighters requiring medical treatment.

"This group (of women) is weak and needs our care," Marghani told reporters. "It (the law) will give them many rights...and cover also compensation."

He did not say what compensation the women would get. Other war victims are entitled to benefits that may include medical care, a safe place to stay and financial assistance.

The turmoil that has blighted Afghanistan, particularly over the past 15 years, has forced huge swathes of people out of their homes. Many of them have long since abandoned hope of ever returning.

Now there are increasing fears that the refugee situation will get much worse, with millions more predicted to flee fighting in Afghanistan.

There are an estimated 1.6 million registered Afghan refugees who, having fled conflict in their homeland over the past three decades, now live in slums and – initially makeshift, now permanent – camps in neighbouring Pakistan. Many, like 12-year-old Awal Gul, live in sprawling slums on the outskirts of Islamabad where poor health is caused by stagnant water and a lack of basic amenities. "My land is in Afghanistan, and we have nothing in Pakistan," he told Associated Press this month.

Instead of decreasing, as Pakistani authorities had hoped they might, the numbers of Afghans seeking refuge across the border is now set to dramatically increase. This week, reports emerged that Pakistan was braced for a "worst case scenario" in which an estimated three million refugees would cross from Afghanistan during 20 days in July.

If, as appears increasingly likely, Taliban militants target electoral candidates in the run-up to Afghanistan's presidential polls in April, any resulting instability when President Hamid Karzai steps aside a few months later will produce a new refugee crisis, according to Pakistani authorities. Bloomberg has reported that Pakistan now fears that a military operation to flush out Taliban and al-Qa'ida militants in Waziristan and other border areas could be "too difficult" because of the refugee situation. A further 500,000 refugees could arrive after October or November, predicted Abdul Qadir Baloch, the Pakistani federal minister for states and frontier regions.

POLICE ARREST TERROR GROUP LED BY AN IMAM PLANNING JIHAD ATTACKS IN OSH AND BISHKEK(KYRGYZSTAN)

A deputy imam of an Osh mosque was in charge of the terrorist group trained in the camps of transnational terrorist organizations in Syria and detained in southern Kyrgyzstan, the Osh police told Interfax on Wednesday.

The six detainees were planning terror attacks in Osh and Bishkek.

Detectives learned that the group leader was trained in a religious school in Syria and studied in the United Arab Emirates.

Religious leaders trained aboard often head extremist groups after their return to their home country, the police said.

A similar terrorist group led by a local mosque imam, who had been trained in a foreign country, was neutralized in Osh in November 2010.

President Yahya Jammeh has once again launched another attack on homosexuals or gays, calling them vermin, and vowing that his government "will fight them the same way we are fighting malaria-causing mosquitoes".

In an Independence Day anniversary statement delivered on his behalf by the mayors of Banjul and the Kanifing Municipality Tuesday to mark the country's 49th independence anniversary, which has been decentralised, President Jammeh said while his government wishes to maintain peaceful relations with all countries near and far, he will "never accept any ungodly, satanic and anti-human behaviour as a way of life or a human right".

"We will, therefore, not accept any friendship, aid or any other gesture that is conditional on accepting homosexuals or L.G.B.T.as they are now baptised by the powers that promote them. As far as I am concerned, L.G.B.T can only stand for Leprosy, Gonorrhoea, Bacteria and Tuberculosis; all of which are detrimental to human existence," he stated.

Homosexuality, Jammeh added, will never be tolerated and, in fact, will attract the ultimate penalty since it is intended to bring humanity to an inglorious extinction.

According to President Jammeh, The Gambia will continue to pursue a foreign policy based on equality and genuine friendship with the rest of the world.

Tajik Muslim Alimurod Makhanov was, like many other Muslims, up to no good. He had joined the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, a jihadist group. Soon, he had gathered nine of his buddies together and the fun had begun. Instead of playing sports, video games, or with each other’s penises, the men had something much more sinister in mind: a bombing in Dushanbe, the capitol city of Tajikistan.

Makhanov rose through the ranks of the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan as well as the Jamaat Ansarullah terror group. Soon, he was declared the emir of Tajikistan in both of those jihadist organizations. Together with his ass-lifting buddies, Makhanov planned to bomb political sites in Tajikistan in order to “destabilize” the country before its national election. Among the targets were the gates of Dushanbe, the National Security Committee, and the Interior Ministry.

However, the plot was foiled by Tajik counter-terrorism forces. Makhanov and his friends were detained, and all of a sudden they had a change of heart about violent jihad. How convenient! Makhanov said, “We were told [by a degreed Mullah] that a man must defend his honor through jihad.” I still don’t see the connection between blowing up buildings and defending your honor. If any Muslims out there would like to clarify, that would be much appreciated.

There’s something fishy about this Muslim named Salmon- err, Salmin. He’s a sheikh currently serving as the secretary general of the Malawi Association of Muslims, and he really has it out for gays. Malawi’s current law states that homosexuality can be punished by up to 14 years behind bars. That’s pretty extreme for something that shouldn’t be a crime. However, jailing gays isn’t enough for Idrussi. He wants them dead – because sharia says so.

Instead of addressing the numerous problems in Malawi, such as poverty and malaria, the Muslims there think everything would be better if those damned gays would stop boning each other. Idrussi stated: “Malawi is regarded as a secular state, but the country is blessed with God-fearing citizens who can’t afford to deviate from God’s commandments for the sake of pleasing others who practice the act [of homosexuality.]” If everyone feared your god so much, why are there still gays who are seeking romance in Malawi? Hmm? And what gave you the right to to tell others how they should live? Religious folk of numerous varieties suffer the same mentality, that they are the arbiters of morality and what they say should be law. They fail to consider that those who don’t agree with their beliefs aren’t trying to harm them or ruin their faith in any way; they just want to live their own lives how they choose.

“Even animals like goats don’t do this [gay sex], what more with human beings like us who were blessed with wisdom by the almighty God?” Idrussi asked. “The offenders need to be handed death penalty as a way of making sure that the issue is curbed.” Well, good to know that you’re a fan of watching goats mating, Idrussi. Seriously, do these Islamic nutjobs not consider the implications of the ridiculous (and false) arguments they give?! As for the death penalty – yep, that’s the “proud tradition of tolerance” Barack Hussein Obama claims Islam is known for. Hopefully Malawi catches up to the civilized world with regard to marriage equality and freedom from religion.
