"ASYLUM SEEKERS" DURING LATEST RIOT ON MANUS ISLAND

ASYLUM seekers are taking up too many hospital beds and their "culturally-appropriate" meals cost too much - all at the expense of average Territorians and tourists, NT Health Minister Robyn Lambley says.

In the wake of recent riots on Manus Island, Ms Lambley said keeping detainees healthy was draining the Territory's coffers and she is calling on Federal Immigration Minister Scott Morrison to cough up more cash.
